Environments 1 is a course where you learn to create a big level, which seems to be too big to do all by yourself.

You will learn how to create modular asset packs, import these into Unreal Engine and build stunning levels with these assets. You will learn how to work smart and use your time most efficiently. The creation of a good level goes hand in hand with good level design, which you will learn to recognise through iteration and real life references.

Essential to the creation of visually stunning levels, is the supporting materials and textures. We will take a closer look into the creation of shaders through the material editor. The shaders combined with textures made by you, will translate into realistic looking levels so the models look exactly like their real life counterparts.

We will practice this in Unreal Engine 4, which is widely used in many studios to support their games.

Software: Unreal Engine 4, Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk 3DS Max
